Ezra Villarreal, Luna Scholar

Hometown: Corpus Christi

Education: Texas A&M University

Placement: Office of Senator Molly Cook

Ezra Villarreal is currently studying political science at Texas A&M University in College Station. Ezra’s interest in history paired with his experience growing up close to the US/Mexico border has made him interested in immigration policy and foreign affairs. Upon graduation Ezra plans on attending graduate school and studying abroad to gain more insight into international politics and diplomacy.

Over the past two summers, he interned with the Port of Corpus Christi Authority and at Twenty-First Century Group, a federal lobbying firm in Washington D.C. It was through these internships where he was able to interact with policymakers that he became inspired to work in the Texas Legislature.

As a Luna Scholar in the 89th Texas Legislative session, Ezra served in the office of Senator Molly Cook.
