Leticia Torres, Luna Scholar

Education: University of Texas at San Antonio

Placement: Office of Senator José Menéndez

Leticia Torres is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Sociology, minors in Marketing and Politics and Law, and a certificate in Legal Studies. She was also actively involved with the Legal Advocacy Association, better known as the Mock Trial Team at UTSA, where she honed her advocacy and public speaking skills.


During her undergraduate studies, she gained valuable experience interning at the Law Office of Johnny Cisneros, a criminal defense attorney, and later working as a legal assistant at Duarte & Molina, P.C., a general practice law firm in San Antonio. She plans to obtain her JD and use her education and experience to promote equity and serve her fellow Texans.


As a Luna Scholar in the 89th Texas Legislative session, Leticia served in the office of Senator José Menéndez.
