Education: University of Texas at Austin

Placement: Office of Senator Adam Hinojosa

Rachel Sepulveda is a dual-degree candidate in Government and the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin. She is also a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholar and a Pre-Law Scholar with the University of Houston Law Center.


During the 88th Legislature’s third and fourth special sessions, she supported Senator Carol Alvarado with education policy and constituent services for the Northside and East End communities of Houston.
With over two years of public policy research experience, Rachel is especially passionate about water and energy law. She plans to attend law school to focus on healthcare, environmental, and public interest law, with the goal of advancing water rights and improving statewide water access. 


As a Luna Scholar in the 89th Texas Legislative session, Rachel served in the office of Senator Adam Hinojosa.
