Ben Aguillon, Luna Scholar

Hometown: San Antonio

Education: University of Texas at Austin

Placement: Office of Senator Roland Gutierrez

Ben Aguillon is in the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Government with a minor in Spanish.  In the summer of 2024, Ben traveled abroad to Cuba and Spain, where he earned a certificate in Business Spanish. Upon graduating, he plans to attend law school and hopes to practice law in his hometown of San Antonio.
 
In the 88th Texas Legislature, he interned with Senator José Menéndez. He has also discovered his passion for civic engagement, serving as a site leader for the Project—UT’s largest day of service—and as a Texas Civic Ambassador with the Annette Strauss Institute.


As a Luna Scholar in the 89th Texas Legislative session, Ben served in the office of Senator Roland Gutierrez.
